GEOFFRAY BARBIER:
Geoffray Barbier directed the feature Documentary Pardon US For Living But The Graveyard Is Full (currently showing at festivals around the world) and has served as line producer on a variety of independent features in addition to his work as a director. Most notably he worked with director with Eugene Jarecki (Why We Fight) on HBO segment “Addiction”, with Alyssa Bennett on The Pack, and Matthew Modine on his short film Cowboy. Barbier has produced and directed television commercials aired nationally on both French and American stations, and several music videos for artists such as Shivaree and Holly Miranda. In addition to Barbier’s work in film, he composed the soundtrack for Subaru’s national televised ad campaign.
He has honed his organizational skills as the Director of Operations at the world’s largest film school New York Film Academy.
FLORENT BARBIER:
Multi-Instrumentalist, Engineer, Mixer, Composer and Sound Designer. I am a professional drummer who has played in 1500 shows and 36 albums with bands and artists such as: The Roadrunners, Kid Pharaon, Zeze Mago, Elliott Murphy, Ian Matthews, Shivaree, Ed Harcourt, and Ivan Julian, among many others. In 1996, I founded my own recording studio and produced various bands and artists. I also compose music and jingles for television, and starting in 1999, I became the principal composer of all the jingles for "Canal Plus," the French premium pay television channel, as well as for "I Television," another cable channel in France. I have created 350 jingles, music, and scores for films and commercials. Upon moving to New York in 2009, I built a studio where I mix movies and music. In addition, I teach sound for pre and post-production and work as a sound recorder and mixer for special events and fashion shoots.
